my browser contentiously refreshes the site kinda after it loads.FF 11

 

Like.. ill refresh this page.. it will load 100% and seems like its done ya know, where stop is greyed out as its loaded.. but then the refresh sign will like flash over and over and over..  i then have to click refresh to make it stop..

 

its doing it now..  1 2 1 2 1 2 1 2 1 2 1 2 ... sometimes it doesnt

My guess is the dam animated advertisements. The page is done loading, but then the ad starts loading and playing its video. Not always an animated ad which might explain why it happens sometimes.

 

So you're SOL in my opinion. laughing.gif

but i have flash block.. sometimes it works.. sometimes it doesnt. i dunno.

I use FF as my main browser, Im not getting that problem.

 

I just checked the version number, Im on FF 12.0 now, but 11 was perfectly fine too.

 

Did this problem start recently or was it always an issue?

no it just started like either on the last FF update or something.. i just have been waiting for 12 which i will try .

so i updated and just have this site open,... and still is doing it. Seems more applicable to when im in a thread than not.

ill disable all my goodies and then see..

seems like animated gifs stopped working here?

 

thought it was just me, but i see others are experiencing this same issue. this started happening for me from yesterday...

 

here's an example using the upload image function-

^^ it's an animated gif but nothing happens... 

 

 

^^ ed: however weird thing is if i c&p the image to the post it seems to work fine... confused.gif

 

i'm guessing the problem is the uploader? i also noticed the process for inserting images has changed around a bit.

When you upload an image, it has  always been static (does not change).

 

Gifs work like they always did, you were never able to upload them as you upload an normal static image.

 

Animated gifs or updating charts have always had to be inserted using the <img> method you used on the gif that works.

that's strange... i'm not sure why but i was always able to upload animated gifs as well and it would show up animated from the upload feature... that all stopped working from yesterday. must have just been me then.. duh.gif

 

no biggie i suppose... glad to see the c&p and <img> still work tho...
