TASER International filed in the Superior Court of Arizona, Maricopa County, granted TASER International's motion for summary judgment and dismissed this lawsuit. In addition, the court in the suspect injury case of Molina v. TASER International et al. filed in the United States District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia, Martinsburg, granted TASER International's motion for summary judgment and dismissed this lawsuit as well.

Police Use TASER Device to Save Distraught Woman With Two Knives

According to an article which appeared on the Portland Press Herald's MaineToday.com on April 16, 2008, police in South Portland, ME, used a TASER(r) ECD yesterday to disable a 47-year-old distraught woman who had called police to say she had cut her wrists and would later threaten police with two large 8- to 9-inch knives.

When South Portland police officers arrived, the woman had a knife in each hand and advanced upon the officers threatened to attack the police in order to force police to shoot her. Officer Kevin Battle deployed a TASER ECD to temporarily disable her so the woman could be taken to Maine Medical Center for evaluation and treatment of her self-inflicted injuries.

The incident was the fifth use of a TASER ECD device this year, South Portland (ME) police said. Three of the cases involved people with edged weapons, and through the use of TASER ECDs, officers did not have to resort to deadly force, police said.

TASER International, Inc. Reports Record First Quarter Revenues

TASER International, Inc. (Nasdaq:TASR), a market leader in advanced electronic control devices, today reported financial results for the first quarter of 2008.

For the first quarter of 2008 revenues were $22.5 million, the highest first quarter revenue in the Company's history and a 47% increase over the same quarter of the prior year. Income from operations for the first quarter was $1.6 million, a 361% increase compared with $0.3 million in the prior year period. Net income and basic and diluted earnings per share for the first quarter of 2008 were $1.2 million and $0.02, respectively.

Significant events in the first quarter of 2008 include:

1. Significant sales orders were received and shipped to law enforcement agencies in the United States during the first quarter. The orders were from both new agencies deploying TASER(r) technology and from agencies continuing to expand the use of TASER Electronic Control Devices (ECDs) to their first responders. Taser Sued for False Advertising, Unfair Competition and Injurious Falsehood
TAMPA, Fla., April 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Stinger Systems, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: STIY) a leader in electro-stun technology announced today that on Friday April 18, 2008, it filed suit against Taser International, Inc. (Nasdaq: TASR) in the United States District Court for the District of Arizona.

The suit arises from Taser's alleged distribution to potential Stinger customers of selected portions of an unfinished National Institutes of Justice Report, containing dated tests comparing Taser's model X-26 projectile stun gun to early versions of Stinger's model S-200 projectile stun gun. As the suit alleges, the National Institute of Justice, itself, has acknowledged receiving data regarding newer more advanced models of the S-200 rather than the version one model tested. The study was commissioned in 2005, prior to Stinger's S-200 being even a concept. The version one model of the S-200 was given in December 2006 after repeated requests by the testing university to make a comparison. The current model S-200 has had almost every aspect of the gun redesigned including cartridges, probes, wires, and circuitry. Virtually the only thing that remains of the gun tested and the current S-200 is the name and the external features.

The suit continues to allege in allegations 30 and 31, 'Taser has represented and implied to customers and potential customers of Stinger that the NIJ study is final and relates to the current design of the S-200. This representation is false and injurious to Stinger. Taser knew these representations were false or acted in reckless disregard for the truth or falsity of these representations.'

The suit seeks compensatory damages, punitive damages and attorneys' fees from Taser and an injunction.

University Of Florida To Continue Using Tasers

April 25, 2008 (FinancialWire) The University of Florida campus police will continue to use Tasers (NASDAQ: TASR) (Current Market Cap: US$476.81 Mil.) following a 2007 incident in which a student was shocked on national television to subdue him during a speech by John Kerry.

Taser procedures at the University were reviewed following an incident in which a UF student made headlines when he physically resisted being escorted from an auditorium by police at a September 2007 forum with John Kerry. On April 22, 2008, a committee on open policy released a 52-page report clarifying the University's use of force.

The committee said that a Taser is an intermediate, less than lethal weapon, and should be used only when it is appropriate to use an intermediate weapon.

Under revised usage guidelines, officers still would have been justified in using a Taser on the student, who was best known for uttering the phrase "Don't Tase me bro." when he was subdued by police. A Florida Department of Law Enforcement investigation ruled that the officers had followed state guidelines.
