Why Do Middle Class Americans Vote Republican? - Page 5

Because we live under the realities of life.  You want a job, take a drug test.  You fail, go work at mcdonalds.  But wait, you want welfare, please feel free to do as much crack as you want as the dollars the middle class makes pays for it.  Heres a kicker, lets make a big dealer out of gay marriage when the country's unemployed is more that all the gays combined.  Hey teachers want a bailout? sure, well give you a 19% pay raise.  Hey, guy whos about to lose his house, you gotta pay your 60% interest and no, the government will not be offering aid until yiou lose it.  Lets invest in green energy, only to see companies go overseas or belly up.  We'll bailout the banks and let the CEO's take a 100 million dollar bonus from tax payer dollars (thats right, not only are you going to pay 60% on interest, your taxes now go directly to them).  Blame everything on the republicans even though the democrats had 2 years of complete control in the Senate, house, and presidency... National debt has doubled in the past 4 years, more so than the first 200 years of our nations life.  These are the statements I hear everyday while working as a merchandiser at a grocery store and get to watch as those who do not work for a living and refuse to have any sort of acceptable hygene buy crablegs and filet Mignon with the Ohio Direction Card (also known a food stamps, "free money")... Under obama Welfare has seen an increase of what? 10 million people? more you say?  I understand that he inherited a pile of shit when he got elected, but what did the second bush say when he was running for another term? I need another term....  I still haven't made up my mind about who im voting for, but when you work for a living and see someone walk by with an Iphone and food stamps and then get into there brand new escalade... your reasoning for voting for the current incumbent of the president quickly diminishes...

In totalality, we vote for the guy who is willing to help all of the hard working americans out, not the lazy (whether rich or poor).  Unfortunately, a lot of us are idiots and believe anything on TV, like Jerry springer.  I have to go to class, so i can get a good job when i graduate and watch as those who dont enjoy 30% of my earnings.

The banks and financial sector were bailed out by GW... I tend to go overboard on my hangover rants, but it definantly helped me clear my mind this morning! and class was wonderful!

It's good to rant some times. It's not healthy to keep all that rage bottled up. I rant all the time! 

My dad and I talk politics all the time. He's a flaming liberal and I'm more of a libertarian. We do see eye to eye on a lot of things though, particularly social issues, and getting money out of politics. I'll admit, I'm a social liberal, but I staunchly believe in responsible fiscal policy. My main gripe with both the dems and repubs is that neither of them are fiscally responsible. They both love firing up the printing presses and resorting to deficit spending to fund their wars and welfare. I absolutely oppose that. It's reckless, stupid, and does a lot more harm than good in the end.
