SODA - Sodastream International - Page 2

Earnings will be announced on November 9th!   Whats everyone's thoughts on this? We touched 28.65 which is think is right around the support area and bounced back up to 35 last time we hit this area.

My thoughts 1. Before last earnings it was trading in the mid 70's region, they beat the estimates but lowered guidance for this quarter causing the crash.  My thought is could their earnings really be that terrible that would make it worth less than half of what it was the previous quarter?

                   2.  A new competitor entered the market today causing the stock price to go below 30.  My thoughts here, alot of people say soda is done growing and the market is limited.  If this were true why would another competitor enter the market?

                   3.  Took a position at 30 today after we bottomed once and thought it would be a bounce but wasn't big enough so were still holding.

Theres my thoughts for the day haha

Any other opinions would be great to hear.

$$$$ nice day!

Nice day indeed, but I would be concerned that SODA missed out on the entire rally last week is is near the lows of the beginning of the month.

ya someone was trying very hard to keep it down on Thursday.  I've been in and out of this one a few times now and there has been a few times where it does not follow the market at all.  Sometimes it does the opposite and is my only green stock on my watch list.  Not in it for long term  anyways but I think we will see at least 35 before a pull back.

Any opinion on the points from my post on the 26th?  They are also just stating to grow in the US and canada and apparently are in most target stores now.  Will be interesting to see which way it ends up going

+11% gap on earnings this morning

Wonder if this is a prequel to what GMCR will do this evening?  They do sell these SODA machines right beside the Keurig machines in the local store.

I didn't even know these guys were publicly traded.

I think the big difference between these guys and GMCR is (at least for one of the things I look at when I consider an equity):  I actually know people who have GMCR products.  I see those Sodastream things everywhere (Macy's, Costco, Sur La Table, Williams Sonoma, etc.)....but I don't know a single person who's ever bought one.  They fail my "would I use the product" metric.  Don't think I could touch them.

anyone know what the heck happened to this today?  All good and then everyone decides to sell and we went negative at one point.  The company killed estimates and raised guidance for next quarter.  With all the shorts I would have thought we would have got a much bigger gain.  I actually bought on the first pull back at 37 thinkin we should get 40 easy today.  But that would have actually made me money, not my thing.  I'm more into giving it to someone else cuz I'm nice like that haha.

Lets hope tomorrow is a better day!

Serious? This is the most frusterating thing to look at.  Down 9% today down almost 12 at one point.. Am i missing something huge? It cant be a sell on good news becuase everyone thought this stock was going down and its almost at its lows so why would anyone sell at 32?

Days like to day really make me want to take my cash out and say screw wall street! (yes i know in the end its all my own choice and decisions)

maybe there's some co-relation to gmcr.
