Bin Laden DEAD! --- ** ----- Bin Laden’s daughter confirms - Page 13

Loss of helictoper due to a mechanical failure. This entire story is comical. I'm not saying it wasn't Osama, but some of the "truths" are clearly bullshit. I also think them "using woman as human shields" is also a fabricated element to demonize them. Although if there is a hell, Osama is probably there.

Yeah, I just saw it on some news site. I agree Ross.

Very good point. Never thought about that, very true. Could be another fabricated element, along with the chopper was "shot down due to mechanical failure" big ROFL there, come on.

They had to admit it went down, pictures from anyone in the neighborhood would surface the next day. They cant clean the chopper up. It's a pretty obvious lie, this is why you can't trust shit. Sad.

As for burying him in accordance with muslim customs, I thought our goverment was non-religious.  Shouldn't we have treated the body like any other death?

Last item I heard on the radio and thought it was interesting.  If we got all this intelligence from the compound, wouldn't it have made more sense to not disclose the death until all the material had been analyzed and we caught as many additional people as possible?  By releasing the death, we have told our enemies that we have their secrets and they can now change their plans.

For the first point...I say show the Congressional leaders the pics and vids that are available to verify and let's be done with it.  Just b/c our society has a voyeuristic obsession, I don't see the need to appease this.  If you want to vindicate 9/11 families, a good start was to kill OBL.  Continue to do so with making sure a large scale attack like 9/11 never happens on American soil again.  Small scale attacks are inevitable. As it has been said many times before, even if they released the photos, you will still have doubters.  I know there are doubters now, because they believe that the US govt, plus the Pakistani govt are in on some kind of conspiracy to fool the American people to have BO re-elected.  If they do bomb trains in the US, hopefully they start with the crazy train some are riding.

I see your POV on #2.  I'd say it's more about strategy.

#3-Would the US govt really be able to keep quiet about this and not have the Pakistani govt say something or have the news leak out?  There are leaks within the Pakistani government, so any groups associated with al Qaeda, or al Qaeda itself would be tipped off immediately anyway.  Plus, Americans would be complaining that the killing of OBL was being hidden. Besides, from what I've heard, they already had a lot resources ready to analyze the info before the raid occurred.  Also, some of the info is encrypted so it will take awhile.

President Obama is right to stop publication of any of the "gruesome" death photos of Osama bin Laden. If there are people who believe that Bin Laden is still alive, no photograph will make them accept that he is not. They will assume it is a fake, just as the Americans who believe Obama was born outside the United States and is therefore ineligible to be president assume that his birth certificate is a fake. Nothing will persuade a conspiracy theorist to change his mind, especially not a photograph; for everyone today believes that photographs are easily doctored. So while the US would gain nothing by publishing one, it might have quite a lot to lose by it.

To be honest, I don't really care anymore whether he is dead or still alive. The government lies so much, they make anything so believable that anyone that is dumb enough to believe them are the true suckers.

Al Qaeda (Al Qaida) might be in on the conspiracy too.  Obama is a tricky fella.

Al-Qaida confirms Osama bin Laden's death

CAIRO – Al-Qaida on Friday confirmed the killing of Osama bin Laden and warned of retaliation, saying Americans' "happiness will turn to sadness."

The confirmation came in an Internet statement posted on militant websites, signed by "the general leadership" of al-Qaida. The announcement opens the way for the group to name a successor to bin Laden. His deputy Ayman al-Zawahri is now the most prominent figure in the group and is a very likely contender to take his place.

The statement, dated May 3, was the first by the terror network since bin Laden was killed Monday by U.S. commandos in a raid on his hideout in Abbottabad, Pakistan. The statement's authenticity could not be independently confirmed, but it was posted on websites where the group traditionally puts out its messages.

"The blood of the holy warrior sheik, Osama bin Laden, God bless him, is too precious to us and to all Muslims to go in vain," the statement said. "We will remain, God willing, a curse chasing the Americans and their agents, following them outside and inside their countries."

"Soon, God willing, their happiness will turn to sadness," it said, "their blood will be mingled with their tears."

There was no indication how the group will retaliate. Rather than making vehement cries of vengeance, the statement — entitled "You lived as a good man, you died as a martyr" — struck a tone of calmness and continuation. Though it included praise of bin Laden, much of the 11-paragraph statement was dedicated to underlining that al-Qaida would live on, depicting him as just another in a line of "martyrs" from the group.

"It is impossible, impossible. Sheik Osama didn't build an organization to die when he dies," the statement read. "The university of faith, Quran and jihad from which bin Laden graduated will not close its doors," it added.

"The soldiers of Islam will continue in groups and united, plotting and planning without getting bored, tired, with determination, without giving up until striking a blow," the statement.

It said bin Laden was killed "along an established path followed by the best of those who came before him and those who will come after him."

In the statement, al-Qaida also called on Pakistanis to rise up in revolt against its leaders to "cleanse the shame." It also said that an audio message bin Laden recorded a week before his death would be issued soon.

The writers of the statement appeared unaware of the announcement by American officials that bin Laden's body had been buried at sea. The statement warned against mishandling or mistreating bin Laden's body and demanded that be handed over to his family, saying "any harm (to the body) will open more doors of evil, and there will be no one to blame but yourselves."

Not sure.  It would probably drive some nuts reading them everyday thought.  Also can't figure out why I can't view some videos on Youtube b/c they aren't available in my country.

there are more reason why, than why not. Cant go after things outside the country just to keep it simple. Not going to explain internet law and applicable areas of enforcement via per country location where the site is. They could off the books as china does with the US... but, they wont.

and with that note. Does that go the same with online gambling? Most of the venues for sportsbetting are aka "Offshore" gambling. Meaning, they are mostly out of the country to avoid US Laws. I say this, because my uncle is a bookie.

yep.. hence why the servers and such are located in some other country..

The servers are off shore but we can still visit the web sites. I still don't get why we can't visit Al Qaeda sites

With all due with respect, even if we could access Al Qaeda sites. I could actually care less. What is it there we don't already know? hmm.gif

I like to verify news reports, even in the states. If NBC comes on the wires and says something about the economy, I will check the source and the same applies here. News reports without a source are bullshit, the same reason when you write an essay in school they require you to use citations. Guess these guys didn't go to school.
