Pros: Inexpensive trades and good customer support.

Cons: I don't like the charts and AH only to 5:00 PM

I've been trading with them for two weeks and everything has gone smoothly.

 

Edit: Dec 5

 

On Dec 2 they experienced system problems and I have been unable to place any trades. Tonight I looked at their 'user forum' and discovered that their system problems have affected many or possibly all of their accounts. Prior to tonight I thought the problem was just with my account.

 

Several of the posters said they have experienced these problems on 4 other occasions and that they have had enough and that they would close their accounts.

 

I would avoid this brokerage. I did my homework prior to opening my account and I couldn't find any negative info. Here it is!

i am considering TK, what is it about the charts that you don't like?

I don't like the graphics and the lack of good indicators. I prefer FreeStockCharts and I just signed up for 2 free weeks of TC2000. You can check this stuff for yourself and possibly you'll be very satisfied with Tradeking's charts.

hmm sometime procrastination pays off... i haven't opened an account with TK yet, and it doesn't look like i will be either. but wait. there was nothing mentioned on twitter. i think if this was a huge disturbance than there would be a huge flare up on twitter. this is what i've found on their forums: http://community.tradeking.com/forum/categories/general/topics/7946-error-again/forum_posts, http://community.tradeking.com/forum/categories/general/topics/7917-site-problems-again/forum_posts i guess that last revolt happened on Dec 2 like you said. that's too risky for me. i'll look at tradestation or optionshouse

i am trying OptionsHouse. I like the way their holdings screen shows gains/losses, compared to OptionsXpress
