Day trading for canadian residents (more specific: Quebec)

I live in Quebec, Canada, (although I'm assuming the same rules apply throughout Canada) and I'm actively trading on the TSX, and I wanted to know if the same rules of day trading apply also on the TSX in Canada (mainly the no more than 4 trades in 5 business days)

I asked my broker (BMOInvestorline) and the lady that answered had never even heard of such rule, so... I'll try to get my information from somewhere else!

Im trading in the US markets NYSE and the day trader rule does not apply to use. Im in ottawa.
