I get this request every so often, investors looking for a list of penny stocks .

Depending on what you consider a penny stock, eg < $2B market cap or purely based on price, you can run a simple scan on stockfetcher.com and generate a list. This simple scan returns stocks trading between 1c and $1, additionally I added a volume requirement that requires an average volume of 100,000 shares over the past 90 days. This filters out the junk with no volume.

Go to www.stockfetcher.com and run this filter:

Close between .01 and 1
and Average Volume(90) is above 100000

and Fast Stochastic(10,10) Fast %K crossed above Fast Stochastic(10,10) Slow %D within the last 1 day
and Average Volume(90) is above 100000

A Penny stocks are those who have been traded below $1 but the Securities and Exchange Commission has updated to $5 that’s why stockfetcher.com has shown you that list from 1c to $1.
