Highlights from the WallSt.net Interview (01/11/2008)...
1) Recently, the industry in general has downgraded the life expectancy and performance of container floors due to the diminishing quality issues. Conforce has seen this first hand at their terminal, where brand new containers had their floors fail on the very first voyage.
2) EKO-FLOR has a 10-20% weight advantage over wood. The less a container or trailer weighs, the more cargo it can carry. The lighter weight will also result in greater fuel savings.
3) Having produced the core material, Conforce can go from design development to production readiness in only 90 days. The material lends itself to other applications which are now being identified.
4) There are two new products in development…
a) A flooring product for the ship building industry – EKO-FLOR would be suitable for installation on mega yachts up to cruise ships. EKO-FLOR will be exhibiting at a leading cruise/yacht convention in Miami in March 2008.
b) An application to do with military containers – Although Conforce is working to secure business with the floor components of military containers, they are working on something else that IS NOT a floor. Marino is not at liberty to elaborate on that yet.
5) The Amsterdam show allowed Conforce to let the industry know they are now in a position to start filling orders. As a result, they picked up new orders and are in further discussions with various segments of the industry. Conforce is confident this will translate into ongoing business.
6) Joe DeRose, (VP of Product Development) and Slavko Kulas, (Director of Operations) will be in China next week in advance preparations to fill trial orders as the product moves into circulation.
7) EKO-FLOR was tested under the ISO-1496 (loaded forklift traffic) standard at ATC Houthandel…it passed. Other plastic/composite flooring in the past had failed this test. Then a test with the largest forklift at ATC was performed to FAR EXCEED the ISO requirement. EKO-FLOR showed NO sign of damage, while wood and plywood flooring materials (tested simultaneously) failed under the same load.
8) ATC will be an excellent partner to develop the European trailer market.
9) Conforce is positioning itself very nicely to take advantage of the industry’s need for an alternate flooring product.

Just in case there are any newbies, beware of known pumpers (JJ) and known bashers (JoanAl and Burp). Take everyone's post with a grain of salt, but especially these characters.
