I have been looking into forex, but where to start? what brokerage and what kind of leverage would be ideal to start with?

and "graduate" through all the courses/lessons.

Continue to demo trade for the next few months... if your account grows you can think about moving on to real cash.

According to them Forexclub is NFA registered? I didn't know that, could be wrong...

On the subject of the NFA, I would never trust any other site to say who is and isn't part of the NFA. Go to the NFA site DIRECTLY and find out for real. (http://www.nfa.futures.org/)
