Forex Forum Suggestion Box...

Howdy fellow Forex addicts....

Just wanted to put this "suggestion box" up for a short while to get some feedback from YOU, the users of this forum.

A few of us are coming up with some ideas to better organize this forum for you with topics of interest, chart and Forex education topics, Forex news links and so forth.. They won't neccesarily be "taught" or structured like the Stock University Forum, but they will be places folks can help & teach each other and ask questions or post quickie tutorials etc etc...

Wanted to get some feedback on anything you guys and gals may want or think would be a good or helpful thing to have. If we have a lot of folks say they want something specific, we will do our best to make it happen first. We have the broker topic, and the newbie general Q&A topic...and we are looking at adding a couple more sticky's on basic education and charts etc....and there is consideration to merge a lot of the like-thread topics into one thread to cut down repeat posts on same-subjects, so when there is news on say EUR/JPY you can go to that one topic rather then hunt thru 10 different topics on EUR/JPY and so on..

Just some ideas but wanted to hear if anyone had a wish list...

Oh--I have already inquired about a small Forex "ticker" next to the Stock quote box at the top of the page of the Forum.. Because of size and java considerations its not gonna happen anytime soon, but just so you know it has been thought about and will be looked into for the future..

well, RPM's look on a currency is that channeling is pretty impressive. I have used it over the last couple of weeks and it works....its the one where it appears to break up or down and quickly reverses in the opposite direction.

Couple thoughts.

Do you have the ability to provide portals with your platform?
Each of the users could construct their own web page with the different resources that they community of users provides.

Would it be possible to have a few forex tickers from different sources/vendors, this is good for comparison purposes. I use Forex and their bid/ask seems to always be a pip or two against me relative to other data feeds that I've seen.

It would be nice to have static profile or information pages for each currency pair.
Items could only be added to the pages by the admins once some sort of consensus was reached on the applicability of the item. For example, a link to the New Zealand Herald and other NZ publications would be useful to someone focusing on trading the NZD.

I use something similar to the rpm's way of trading as well but in longer time frames and am working to perfect it.

Please note: I am just "a" moderator for HSM, and not "the" moderator for this Forum or anything.. In fact its a few of us Moderators who are into Forex that are simply tryin to put stuff together to better organize things for everyone. I dont' have access to or knowledge of how the HSM platform or formats work, but any modification to the script of the Forum or how HSM displays won't be possible...

The idea here is strictly gonna be for adding some new topics of interest as stickys, some educational tutorials on Forex, News Links, Currency pair info, Chart reading methods etc..and allow all folks here to interact on specific subjects of interest a bit better, to learn and share ideas or experiences, and ask questions. I would expect several folks will have their own systems they may post about as they develop, or learn and try out systems.. But I don't think we will make those user systems as sticky topics at the top of the forum... The idea is instead provide the basic "knowledge tools" on Forex trading and fundamentals as sticky topics for all members to understand, learn, contribute to, and better follow some member-threads on how their trading systems are going.... End goal--make this Forum an interesting place where you can find info or links you need or want to share to help make us all better traders..

Thanks and keep the suggestions coming..and if you think the forum is fine the way it is--we wanna hear that as well..

Hi Wolf, how about a new thread for Metatrader based platforms and Expert Advisor scripts. There are some really interesting trading scripts out there.
Any thoughts?

How about stickythreads on the four majors? one for each usd/jpy-eur/usd-gbp/usd-usd/chf. Maybe even six majors if enough interest is shown
