Mitas quest to capital land

To make things short, i've been saving money since i started working at 16, only to spend it all to tune up a civic and have some fun..

doh :P now that the civic is sold(im 21, no more honda), I took a part of my saving

16 000$

And opened myself a broker account at disnat (november 02)

Please note, my knowledge of the market was REALLY limited.

I was expecting to lose some money at first( hell yeah, learning has a price)

First things first, I invested 5000$ in YLO.UN in my CELI to get some nice tax free income each month. DONE
Will add another 5000$ january 15 when my CELI limit increases to 10 000$ and the dividend from ylo is in.

Second, get some mid-long term investements and see how it goes
UTS In at 2.16 Out at 2.13 little loss
RBI In at 15.55 still holding

And next I wanted to learn about the ventures a bit, after a bit of reading and doing some dd's, I chose to invest in the play thats going on in BC for the cold around Red chriss and clone projets

30k shares of TUO at about .21475...

So, let's see how things go !

Im waiting to make some $$$ on TUO, then i'll be using this money to re-invest in other ventures...
If i like it, i'll open myself a day trading account at questrade, since disnat fee's are a total scam !

If you guys have any advices, let me know

I don't have a defined strategy yet, trying to shape one with all the little things I learn everyday!

Here's what I tell everyone who is starting out trading. Start out with a very small amount of $. Enough to make it real but not enough to wipe out your capital. If you have 10k to play with, only use 500 at a time. You desperately need experience to become a successful trader, and by minimizing your exposure, you are guaranteeing a good amount of experience regardless of what happens. BTW, don't forget to practice shorting stocks, I think you'll need it soon. Good luck.
