Stock Jock-e what is your take on the BNI acquisition as it relates to your watching transports for the rollover in the markets? Is this nothing more than the biggest blip ever in the history of trading radar? Has Buffet finally gone mad?
Buffet said it was a 30 or 40 year play. The guy never intends to die. Me, I'd take that 34 billion and have some fun if I was 79. But then I guess owning Reading Railroad is fun for him.
so it's your opinion the billions and billions of dollars banks are using to flip stocks which makes up a huge chunk of daily volume has no impact whatsoever on the daily movements?
No big conspiracy really. The billions and billions the banks were given last year aren't being used for loans or anything.....it's just there on their books and they're flipping stocks with it.
Now that's a theory You're probably right. However, the only thing "wrong" there is they took money that was supposed to be used for x and used it for y. You could be wrong, but if that's true, how is this an "invisible hand." Pretty sure everyone in here agrees GS is calling the shots anyway, what's so invisible about this? Just follow them. You'll be a step behind but if you're close enough we can still profit.

Perhaps he has some Chinese blood in him where some live to work rather than work to live I too would take the money and have some fun. Fuc* the railroad company

Just as an example, I remember B of A on the verge of Bankruptcy when their stock was at around $2 and after the invisible hand came in to help with billions of dollars their stock went from just over $2 to over $18. I pretty much doubt that their shares would have climbed that much without the stimulus funds from the Fed. This goes for all the others as well. This may not be the case for everyone out there like Cit but many out there benefited extremely from the stimulus funds and the invisible hand.
i smell a +250 point rally coming tomorrow. back to dow 10k anyone?
It will have no impact on the market, IMO but the one thing that will is the dollar..The one constant I have learned since the March lows is that the market works inverse to the dollar and it does not matter what news or earnings event may be happen it's all about the dollar and the reflation trade.
